UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. (4/5/24) — Happy Valley United, the NIL collective supporting all 31 teams and over 800 Penn State student-athletes, is launching Lionheart, a fundraiser focused on uplifting and interacting with children at Penn State Health — Children’s Hospital in Hershey, PA.
Lionheart enables Penn State fans to support children in Hershey through the purchase and delivery of a Lion plush toy to the hospital. All Lionheart plush toys purchased will be hand- delivered to children by the Penn State football team and coaching staff during the program’s annual visit to Penn State Health — Children’s Hospital.
Nittany Lion fans who wish to gift a Lionheart plush toy to one of the children and support Penn State football’s annual trip to the hospital can purchase them here.
Penn State football’s tradition of visiting Penn State Health — Children’s Hospital began in 2014. In wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, virtual visits took the place of the in-person experience. 2024’s visit will be the Penn State football program’s eighth visit to the hospital, and it remains a cherished tradition by the Nittany Lions.
Lionheart gives Penn State football fans a chance to directly support football student-athletes and empower them to make a greater impact on the children at Penn State Health — Children’s Hospital.
“Nittany Nation takes great pride in supporting the efforts of Penn State football on and off the field as well the extraordinary efforts of Penn State Health,” said Jen Ferrang, Happy Valley United General Manager for Development and Corporate Partnerships. “Through our Lionheart initiative, Penn State fans can make a positive impact on the lives of children as well as the football student-athletes.”
