How Liam Clifford looks up to his brother Sean Clifford

Imagine watching your brother see his goals and aspirations come true in life. Then, imagine watching those goals come true as a teammate of your brother. That's where Penn State football wide receiver Liam Clifford found himself over the past few years. Liam watched his brother Sean Clifford start his Penn State, but he was part of the Nittany Lion football team by the time Sean played his final snap for the Blue and White.

How Liam Clifford looks up to his brother Sean Clifford

The definition of a role model is slightly different when it comes to Liam Clifford. In an exclusive interview, we sat down with current Penn State wide receiver and asked who he looks up to in life.

Liam said, "Obviously Sean [Clifford] is somebody that I've always looked up to ever since I was younger. And then being here and just kind of following in his footsteps and him teaching me the ways and the ropes here. He helped me a ton and obviously dedicate a lot of the success I've had to him and I know he would say the same thing for me. We always push each other, we're always competing against each other. So, Sean is someone that I look up to."

To have your brother show you the way of getting your college career started is super helpful. It's great to hear how thankful Liam is for his brother Sean and you can tell how much mutual respect the two share for each other.

What motivates Liam Clifford?

Every player has different sources of motivation what drives them and makes them want to be great. Liam Clifford has that desire to be the best player he can be and it's obvious from the way he speaks about his goals.

Clifford said, "I think really it's just the will to win. I'm somebody that is very hard on myself, so when I lose it bothers me a lot. So, really just wanting to win is what has motivated me throughout my whole life. I always want to be better than I was the day before and that's what pushes me internally. Then, obviously, I have the external factors of my family, just all of the sacrifices they gave for me growing up driving me to practice early when I needed rides and stuff."
